Fall 2025 Convocation

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will celebrate its annual Fall Convocation program on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Harrison Auditorium. Classes will be suspended during this time. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend as A&T celebrates 13 of its most notable alumni.
Chancellor James R. Martin II will preside over the occasion, one of many events marking the university’s 99th Edition of the Greatest Homecoming on Earth taking place Oct. 5-12.
Kwame A. Molden ’09 will deliver the keynote address. He is co-founder and president of Springbreak (SPGBK) Watches, a designer watch company offering a variety of impactful, stylish and affordable timepieces. SPGBK watches currently retail in more than 350 stores and the company was selected as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in 2023.
During the ceremony, each of N.C. A&T’s 10 colleges will recognize one of its alumni for their outstanding work and accomplishments on behalf of their respective college and for service to the alumni community. Three university-wide awards will also be presented: the Howard C. Barnhill Distinguished Service Award, the Julia S. Brooks Achievement Award and the Dr. Velma Speight Young Alumna Award.
