Money Matters

In order to make this all work - you have to plan early!  Look at going abroad for a semester, summer, or even a year as an investment in your future.  You will grow personally, academically, and professionally.  An education abroad program does not necessarily cost more than a semester at N.C. A&T, however, there are some factors that you must remember.  You can use your Financial Aid to help offset the cost of a program abroad. 

  • ALL aid can be used for study abroad apart from work-study and athletic scholarships
  • ALL other financial aid (grants, GI Bill, scholarships, and loans) can be applied to the cost of study abroad programs approved by the Office of International Affairs.
  • Financial aid is released 10 days before the start of the study abroad program​.

In addition, keep in mind fees that financial aid does not cover:

• Passport
• Application Fee
• Confirmation Fee and Housing Deposit
• Airfare
• Visa

• International Health Insurance
 

Scholarships

All students are encouraged to apply for the Office of International Affairs Scholarships. Students participating in Faculty-Led Study Abroad Experiences can apply for scholarships here. Students participating in Direct Provider or Exchange Experiences can apply for scholarships here.
