TMCF’s Williams to Keynote New Student Induction Ceremony at N.C. A&T
EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Aug. 19, 2019) – Members of the class of 2023 at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will be officially introduced as Aggies during the 2019 New Student Induction ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Corbett Sports Center.
Dr. Harry Williams, president and CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), will share words of wisdom and success with students.
During his tenure as president of Delaware State University, Williams passionately led the school as an advocate and strategic officer, spearheading the charge to increased student enrollment, establishing public and private partnerships resulting in several multi-million dollar grants for campus investments and completing the university’s five-year $20 million “Greater Than One Campaign for Students.”
He also made history by becoming the first sitting university president to hold dual positions with TMCF in 2017.
Williams has served in senior positions at the University of North Carolina General Administration, Appalachian State University and N.C. A&T. He earned a Bachelor of Science in communication broadcasting and a Master of Arts in educational media, both from Appalachian State University, as well as an Ed.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis from East Tennessee State University.
