EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (June 22, 2020) – Thirteen students from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University have been selected as interns this summer at Fortune 500 companies in the state through the North Carolina Governor’s HBCU Internship Program.
“Our students receive amazing opportunities at leading companies to gain first-hand experience and insight into their respective careers through this program,” said Cynthia Downing, executive director of career services and experiential learning. “They are more than prepared to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom and through career development activities to take on new challenges.”
Since 2015, the program has aimed to increase participants’ competitiveness and retention of top talent in the state, as well as create opportunities for academic institutions to establish and develop long-term relationships with industry partners.
