EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (June 21, 2021) – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s information technology degree was named one of the best online master’s programs in the country by Intelligent.com.
A trusted resource for online degree rankings and higher education planning, Intellegent.com ranked North Carolina A&T as the No. 1 historically Black college or university to earn an online master’s in information technology, housed in the College of Science and Technology (COST).
“The College of Science and Technology is very proud to be home to a top-ranked online degree program that makes graduate STEM education accessible,” said Abdellah Ahmidouch, COST dean. “As our economy is increasingly relying on data, the demand for professionals in network security, database management, data analytics, and cloud computing increases.
“N.C. A&T continues to fit that bill by giving our students the in-depth expertise and the hands-on experience they need to be the 21st century STEM leaders.”
Students engage in research and practical applications while receiving instruction from industry professionals who excel in academics and information technology, reported Intelligent.com in its rankings.
“Our well-trained and educated faculty, as well as our online infrastructure, makes it possible for our Information Technology students to continue to be a top online graduate program,” said Clay Gloster Jr., dean of the Graduate College. “Our corporate partnerships also allow our students the opportunities to get hands-on experience while in graduate school which gives our students an edge when entering the job market.”
The M.S. in information technology has available concentrations in computer networking and communications, computer security, web technologies, digital media technologies, database management.
