North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will move to Condition 1 at noon today rather than returning to normal operations, given challenging road conditions in areas beyond the university. Classes will resume at noon today, but all instruction will be conducted remotely rather than in-person.
As a reminder, under Condition 1, “The university remains open, but certain non‐mandatory operations may be reduced due to more limited staff. Mandatory employees must report to or remain at work. All other employees have the option to report late, leave early or not work at all.”
Campus activities scheduled for this evening, including the Chancellor’s Speaker Series, the men’s basketball game and the Robeson Theater performance of “Miss Evers’ Boys,” will go forward as scheduled.
Students and employees driving to and from campus are encouraged to allot extra time for their commute and exercise caution while driving. While roads in and around the university have largely been cleared, challenging conditions exist in many neighborhoods and outlying areas. Beware of black ice and other potentially slick conditions.
