Core Technology Founders Geoff and Tonya Foster Make Naming Gift to Athletics

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (March 12, 2026) – Geoff and Tonya Foster, the husband and wife founders of successful Greensboro-based advanced manufacturing company Core Technology Molding Corp., have made an incredibly generous gift to the “All Aggies, All In” capital campaign for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University athletics, campaign chair Willie A. Deese announced today.

This gift is the largest single donation by an individual or couple in the history of North Carolina A&T Athletics. The gift agreement will allow the Fosters to name the university’s football field as well as the adjacent fieldhouse/wellness and training center.

Geoff Foster holds a B.S. in industrial technology (1990) and M.S. in applied engineering technology (1996), and played football for the university. The Fosters’ son, Jeremiah Foster, is also an alumnus who played baseball for A&T and serves as business development manager at Core Technology’s sprawling 100,000-square-foot campus in Southeast Greensboro.

The Fosters’ close connection to A&T Athletics gave them insight into the level of financial support it takes to be competitive in collegiate athletics. They wanted to make a lasting difference for a university that has been such an important part of their lives, as well as their family business. Many Core Technology employees are A&T graduates, and Geoff Foster often credits Core Technology’s relationship with A&T with providing a pipeline to potential team members with strong STEM backgrounds.

“We would not be where we are today without the foundation that North Carolina A&T provided both me and our son. We want this gift to have the same lasting impact that A&T has had in our lives,” said Geoff Foster.

Geoff and Tonya Foster believe it’s important that A&T Athletics has the resources it needs to thrive, not just survive.

“The Fosters’ generosity will inspire other donors to give just as generously,” said Deese ‘77. “Their gift has also given us the faith to raise the goal for this five-year campaign to $15 million. This is the proverbial rising tide that lifts all boats.”

A&T supports 17 intercollegiate men’s and women’s athletics teams in baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, football, golf, softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball and cheer. Still, like many historically Black colleges and universities, A&T lacks the financial support that major NCAA Division I programs increasingly rely on. In the new era of Name, Image and Likeness and major broadcast and streaming deals, the gulf between the Power Four conferences and everyone else continues to widen.

“The All Aggies, All In campaign was designed with the intent of garnering support from a broad cross section of Aggies from the passionate sports fan to someone who only attends our Greatest Homecoming on Earth,” said Chancellor James R. Martin II. “With this wonderfully impactful gift, the Fosters are making a clear statement, not only that their Aggie pride runs deep, but that they are leading in a transformative way in their strong support of student athletes at North Carolina A&T State University.”
